St E report 01.07.09

Thank God for a wonderful start to our street evangelism ministry for the New Year. After a month break, by His love, grace and strength; we’re back at it and what a encouraging show of force when 22 of us of gathered Plaza Singapura last Thursday.

Thank God for His faithfulness and His promise is 2 Peter 3, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

Thank God for opening doors for many youths who took the step of faith to co-labor with our Lord. It was the 1st time for Amelia and Russell and their enthusiasm and zeal blessed and encouraged everyone in the team. Along with our 1st timers are, Ian, Marcus, Eleanor, Chia Wen, Catherine, Michelle Ong, Alvin Lam, Lester, Yu Fei, Teresa, Shekinah, Cheng Yi, Mimi, Eugene Yeo, Daphne Chan, Wei Wen, Xiu Ying, Jessie and Malcolm.

Thank God also for Michelle and witness in Mandarin. Indeed His strength is made perfect in our weakness, as Michelle is not very fluent in Mandarin. God honored her step of faith and led Michelle and Catherine to re-assure two teenage girls of their salvation in Him!!!

Lester and Yu Fei also had the opportunity to reach out in Mandarin. Thank God for the opportunity to share of His love with the people they were led to. Thank God for Yu Fei joining us as he’s shared he’s very shy when talking to strangers.

St E veteran Marcus was paired up with 1st timer Amelia and thank God for Amelia witnessing His working in and thru Marcus. Their Divine appointment was of all people, a fellow camp mate of Marcus. Thank God for burdening Marcus’s heart for his fellow camp mates. The Gospel was presented and bridges were built.

Amelia shared later, “It was really great though challenges were faced. It’s really all about taking the step of faith and believing so strongly in Him. It is encouraging to me to see so many of us coming together, despite the tiredness, with the same mindset which is to reach out to the lost for our great God!” What a wonderful blessing and an even greater testimony as Amelia came to know the Lord late last year and she’s got a burden to reach out to the lost.

Ian and Cheng Yi, also another 1st timer were led to speak to an Indian national. The Gospel was simply shared and thank God for working in the heart of this man who humbly bowed his head to receive Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Ian shared he was humbled. Indeed we should all be humbled in His presence and His graciousness to want to use weak people like us to do His great and mighty works!!!

Daphne and Russell also had the blessing and encouragement to lead to the Lord 2 teenagers and how heaven rejoices!!!

Thank God for everything said and done. Please continue to pray for the St E team. We appreciate and covet your prayers for us to be broken, humble, teachable, sensitivity to His leading, unity and strength.

May 2009 be a bountiful year and may more laborers be raised for His honor and glory!
