St E report 09.18.08
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." - Ephesians 6:12Indeed the battle for souls is ever raging and we find ourselves in the thick of the action every Thursday. Thank God for His victories and thank you for your unceasing prayers as well.
Praise the Lord for raising up His laborers tonight. Kok Hwa joined us for the 1st time and Kim Coogan joined us as well. Present were Ray, Dawn, Jessie, Giolo, Cat, Cassandra, Eugene, Daphne, Marcus and Malcolm. We had a fruitful night of sowing the Gospel seeds and reaping the harvest.
Praise God for empowering our witness for Him and for the two professions of faith. Please pray for the witness of His Holy Spirit in the lives of the 2 individuals who received Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Marcus and Dawn was stirred when one of the guys they were witnessing to shared that he will only believe in Christianity when he sees people from different faiths come together for a meal. We’re struck by how often we as Christians preach love but have failed to demonstrate love to others. Shame on us and thank God for His wake up call. Love never fails and the people on the streets do “feel” our sincerity in reaching out to them. May the lord continue to break our hearts to weep for the lost and unite us in His love.
Giolo took a step of faith in witnessing for the Lord. The Lord is so good to direct him to a fellow Filipino and Giolo had the blessing of sharing the problem and penalty of sin with A.J.
Ray and Kok Hwa spent the entire evening witnessing and ministering to w NAFA students. Thank God for the open doors and bridges built.
Cat and Cass has an exciting night sharing the love of our Savior with two ladies of a different faith. They were later directed by His Holy Spirit to minister to the needs of a 60-year-old retiree. It’s such a blessing and a wake up call to see our teenage sisters-in-Christ reaching out to the elderly folks out on the streets.
Jessie and Kim bumped into a teen from church and had the blessing of witnessing to her friend who in turn received Christ as her Lord and Savior. It’s so wonderful and exciting to see how the Lord direct our soulwinners to the two teenage girls and Heaven rejoice at the salvation of even one individual.
Eugene and Daphne spent a good part of the evening witnessing to two young men. One of them took the step of faith in accepting Christ as his Lord and Savior while his friend was reassured of his salvation in Christ.
Please continue to uphold the Thursday St E team in prayers. We thank God for His love, mercy and faithfulness. To God be the glory!!!
