St E report 09.25.08

Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever more. Thank God for the ever wonderful Saviour we have, and praise God for opportunities to lift up His name this very night!

Praise the Lord for working in our hearts to let us see through people of their appearances to their need of a Saviour. Thank God for leading Eugene and Daphne to three teenage guys who seemed to be least interested in hearing the gospel with open hearts. Indeed it is the working of His Spirit! The Lord captured the attention of these three guys in hearing the full gospel. At the end of it all, one of them was reassured of his decision made for Christ a few years back and came back to the Lord. It is so important to be reassured by the word of God of our stand before Him, and the wonderful fellowship we can have with our Lord Jesus Christ!

It has been a blessed time of sharing the word of God to this guy sitting along the streets waiting for his brother to come. Praise the Lord for using Malcolm to share the gospel and the contact being exchanged. Thank God for his openness to hear of His word, and the attention given throughout the time of sharing!

The Lord led Dawn and Catherine to a group of guys who claimed to be uninterested of the gospel and even make a strong statement “I don’t care where I am going when I die. I don’t care.” This made Dawn and Catherine coming to God in prayers and praise the Lord for them willing to take the tracts to read and even the short time of conversation with these guys. The Lord encourages their heart by leading them to a guy to have the opportunity to share the full gospel in depth. Praise God for willingness to hear, and the time spent with this young guy!

Praise the Lord for leading Kok Hwa in taking the first step of faith in sharing the gospel. The Lord led both Rei and Kok Hwa in speaking to people of different faiths, and thank God for showing both of them lessons that we need to learn. God is not just concern on the souls on streets, but for us as individuals as we serve Him! God is good, all the time!

In this night, God brought us back into teaching us our motivation to share His word should be love. Indeed, love never fails. We praise God at the end of it all, for loving us, loving the world, and enabling us to see Him in the process of serving Him.
