St E report 11.06.08

Praise God for an amazing night of street witnessing!!!
The Lord led Abi & Teresa to 3 teenager (aged 16 to 18) and opened doors for a full gospel presention. However, they were not ready to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. Abi asked: "if they had cancer & can be cured by a one million dollar formula, would they go for it?", prompting them to understand that God is the answer for the cancer in life. They said they would think about it. Contacts were exchanged and they expressed interests to join us for events.
Mimi & Dawn were approached by two insurance agent. One of them claimed he knows and believes in God, but he visits temples of many sorts and prays to idols, which he acknowledges as gods. His logic is that God has hierarchy!!! Mimi shared scriptures such as “Jesus is the way, the truth & the light”, to emphasize that there is only one God. As he is looking for an interior designer to renovate his place, pray that God will use Mimi, who’s an interior designer, to build bridges and lead him to the truth. The other insurance agent knows God, but does not feel God, said his priority now is his career. Dawn told him that it is a misunderstanding many have, that God wants to remove from them what they are focusing on, and challenge him to seek God. Invitation extended to join GLCC this Sunday.
Malcolm & Christopher had the blessing and privilege for witnessing to two young ladies of a different faith. They also happened to be cousins staying together. Although 5 minutes was only accorded, God touched their hearts and opened their ears to almost an hour of clear Gospel presentation. Praise God at the end of the presentation, both ladies bowed their heads to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior!
After fellowshipping with them for a bit, one of them spent 8 years in a foreign country studying the laws of their faith and is active in serving their faith. They understand the possible persecution from family and friends. Please remember to uphold them in prayer. Contacts were exchanged and please pray for them to be strong in their new and fresh understanding of Jesus Christ.
Cat & Siqian witnessed to 2 secondary school girls, who had a lot of questions. "How do you know that the Bible is true?", Cat quoted 2 Tim 3:16, Mal added that for non-believer, sharing personal testimony may be a better approach. Cat challenge the girls to think about how they wouldn't know the taste of an orange if they didn't taste it. Girls shared that they have a classmate in school whom tracts everyday, and ask persistently that his classmates go to church with him. Praise the Lord for raising this faithful young servant. They are from Bukit Timah Secondary. Please remember them in prayer.
Jonathan, Ivan & Adrian, our fellow-laborers from BFC spoke to 2 young working adults. One of them is attending church because his girlfriend asks him to. John used this to tell him that his girlfriend is concern about him, that her concern is almost like not wanting him to be knocked down by a truck because she saw it coming. The group encouraged R & E to seek God.
Group went on to share the gospel with two individuals of a different faith. Although no profession of faith made, contacts were established, and Ivan is encouraged by these experiences because he is praying about reaching out to his camp mates of a similar faith. Please remember him in prayer. John & Adrian also spoke to an elderly Indian gentleman who asked them to close the word of God and trust their heart. Unfortunately, the man is not yet part of His Kingdom.
Thank God for Ray & Alvin who shared the full Gospel with two students of a different faith, who kept insisting that Jesus is just the prophet. Ray emphasized the crucifixion of Christ and His dying for our sins. They shared that their classmate has been trying to share God's word with them. Praise the Lord, and pray that they will soon believe the true Son of God.
Thank God for showing Himself strong in a mighty way tonight. Thank God also bringing Christopher and Siqian who’re burdened for the lost. Please continue to pray for us as we storm the gates of hell collectively every Thursday.
-Dawn
