St E report 10.11.07

“For this is good and acceptable in the eyes of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the saving knowledge of the truth.” – 1 Tim 2:3-4

Thank the Lord for His Word as He desires all to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ! How encouraging that is!

Praise God for a tremendous time of sharing with different groups of people this very amazing night. Thank the Lord for raising up laborers for Him and praise Him for showing Himself real to us this day!

It has been an encouraging night for Cheryl, Lester and Catherine as the majority of the people they approached were all very friendly and open. Their attentiveness in general was a great encouragement to their hearts. Lessons were learnt through this night of sharing as well and thank God for every single opportunity to learn. The Lord led them to a lady outside the 7/11 store who initially seemed resistant but turned out to be otherwise. She was open to hearing the gospel though she mentioned that she is not ready in accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. Thank God for allowing them to cross path with this dear lady and may the Lord continue to work in her heart, bringing her closer to the step of salvation.

Then the Lord led them to a foreigner, who claimed that he wasn’t in the mood for chats. Then the ladies and Lester left a tract for him to read. Thank the Lord for even the opportunity in giving tracts for people, as His Word in the tract is powerful and real!

Throughout the end of the night for them was a time of tracting and thank the Lord for the labors in Him will not be in vain!

There on the other side of the road, the Lord led Malcolm and Jessie to a Vietnamese and Cambodian couple who’re studying here. It has been a wonderful time of sharing, though language is a barrier, thank God for using Malcolm to bring forth the Gospel in simplicity so that they can both understand. Thank the Lord for bridges are built and may the Lord bring the both of them into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ in time to come!

Praise God for an amazing time with an Indian lady who sat on the stairs waiting for her friend to arrive. There was liberty in sharing, and thank God for the attentiveness that she had in hearing His Word.

Thereafter, the Lord brought a man named V to cross path with us, as He approached us first and conversation was being brought forth and he even shared his personal struggles and life experiences with us. Thank the Lord for He brought a godly man in V’s life to be a tremendous encouragement to Him. We spent the rest of our time hearing V shared his life story and his friendship with this godly young man who is his good friend during his army days. The Lord encourages our heart as He shines brightly through this godly man’s life, touching the lives of many including V, with his godly testimony and love for God. V is very open in coming to church, so let us continue to pray that God will work in His heart in accepting Jesus Christ as his only Saviour, and for him to come to church to hear His Word. Thank the Lord for He is always working throughout the world.
