St E report 08.29.07
“For God commandeth the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. " – 2 Corinthians 4:6Thank the Lord for His Word to remind us to be a light in this world, and praise Him for raising laborers and opening doors for Steve, Abigail, Dominique, Catherine, Malcolm, Jessie and Xiuzhen to be a witnesses for Him and prayer partner this very night.
It was a blessed and wonderful time of sharing for Malcolm and Steve as the Lord led them to a young couple who were so receptive to knowing about Jesus Christ, and thank the Lord for the attentiveness of both of them. However, due to their upbringing and religious education when they were in their primary schools, they honestly shared they difficulty in renouncing their religion. May God help them to make decisions for Jesus Christ.
It is always amazing and encouraging to meet fellow gospeliter on the streets. Steve and Malcolm handed John a tract and found out soon after that he’s a fellow brethren.
“Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33.
Praise the Lord for teenager like Catherine putting God first. Although she has a test the very next day, she still made the commitment to come down to co-labor with the Spirit of God in witnessing for Him. Thank the Lord for encouraging her heart by witnessing a precious soul being led into His wonderful kingdom!
It has been a divine appointment for Catherine and Jessie to meet this eighteen-year-old Pilipino girl sitting at the bench just outside Cathy. She just ended her work and was resting on the bench, when the Lord led them into sharing the full gospel. Thank the Lord for His convicting work. She was very receptive to the Gospel and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. The girl jumped out with joy saying that “She is so happy” after her salvation. All honor and glory to God. Praise the Lord for He is good, always in the business of saving souls and let’s continue to pray that this girl’s work schedule will allow her to come to church in time to come!
The Lord continue to lead and it is a blessing for both of them to cross path with a Bangladeshi guy. Notwithstanding the language barrier, the full Gospel is being brought forth with a lot of gesturing and very simple English language. He shared his struggles and family responsibilities and how clueless he is of what life holds with the 2 young ladies. Invitation to come to church to know more about Jesus was extended. Please pray that the Lord will bring him in and allow him to understand the Gospel in simplicity and acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Savior in due time.
Abigial and Dominique were led to a girl from Vietnam who is studying in Singapore. Despite the language barrier, Gospel was still being presented, and bridges were built to remain contact even after the conversation ended. It is God’s love and mercy that He has everyone in his heart and not willing that any should perish, but all to come into repentance. Thank the Lord for allowing them to cross path and may the word continue to work in this dear girl’s heart.
Thank God for working in hearts of men, and is always in the business of saving souls. He is indeed a faithful God.
Thank you for all your prayers for the laborers in the ministry. Please continue to uphold the team in prayer. Please pray that the love of Christ to be shed in our hearts, for unity and strength to plow in His Harvest.
-Jess
