St E report 08.23.07

Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. – John 6:27

Praise the Lord for the laborers He raised up this evening. Thank God for opening doors for Catherine, Cheryl, Ian, Rogan, Teresa, Lynn Shan, Abigail, Jia Hao and Malcolm to witness for Him.

Despite their hectic academic schedule and impending examination date, the polytechnic students are out on the streets sharing the Love of Christ.

It was a United Nations evening for Ian, Catherine and Teresa. They spoke to a Bangladeshi man and although the full Gospel was not presented, we thank God for the opportunity to touch the heart of this special individual.

Next, they were led to a Thai gentleman. Despite the language barrier, the Gospel was simply presented using an evenge-cube.

It is exciting to see how and who the Lord will lead us to. We pray by His grace and power, His message of Love and redemption will be shared to all who will respond!

We also thank God for the heavy downpour, which kept the crowd in the vicinity.

Teresa and Catherine had the blessing of reaching out to a Chinese-speaking countryman. He shared with them he’s been receiving tracts from different folks last week and yesterday. What a wonderful encouragement to the young ladies to know that God is always in the business of winning souls.

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

Rogan and Malcolm handed out tracts until they met their Divine Appointment for the evening at Cathay cinema.

N was sitting alone and despite his religious affiliation, he was open to the Gospel. N agreed that there’s nobody who’s perfect and all have sinned before God. He even agreed that as Heaven is eternal, so is hell. When confronted with the key question of “If you were to die right now, are you 100% sure all your past, present and future sins are forgiven?” he admitted that he’s on his way down.

The full Gospel was presented and the invitation was given. However, N was unable to reconcile that God could love us so much that He sacrificed Jesus Christ on our behalf which was ironic as N believed that Jesus died for the sins of the world and rose again the 3rd day.

Nevertheless, we thank God for reaching out and ministering to N. He later shared with the guys his struggles and we pray he will seek comfort and strength in Him and Him alone.
