St E report 09.13.07
“And let us not be weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.” –Galatians 6:9.\Thank the Lord for this encouraging verse to keep all of us going on concerning the things of God and praise the Lord for all who came! It has been a wonderful and an amazing night for us!
Thank God for bringing Lester, Teresa and Jessie to a guy who is so willing to hear the Gospel. Thank God for the liberty and freedom in this country to proclaim His Word. Thank God His Word does not return to Him void.
Praise the Lord for Lester taking that first step of faith to share His word! It has been an encouraging time for him as well as for Jessie and Teresa to witness God using Lester! “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”- Matthew 6:33. Thank God for this verse to keep Lester going in the midst of his exams, to come out on streets laboring for Him, and being watered himself as he waters others. Praise the Lord!
Then the Lord led them to a couple with two friends who asked about what the “Good News” tract is all about. Praise the Lord for turning the conversation where they learnt of the personal struggles and trials of the two guys.
Thank the Lord for open doors to proclaim Jesus Christ simply, praise the Lord for bridges built, as one of his friends came back after a while to pass us his name card to contact him if we would like to share more about Jesus Christ! Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord for leading Steve and Malcolm to a group of law students who seems to be indifferent but praise the Lord for the chance to speak to them! Praise God for two guys among the seven guys who asked pertinent questions regarding the Gospel. Their lady friend joined them in the midst of the sharing and asked for a tract and was open to the invitation of visiting us on a Sunday. Contacts were exchanged.
It has been a tremendous encouragement to their hearts! Through all these, God showed Himself more attractive and beautiful then anything else, for when we lift up Jesus Christ, He will draw all men to Himself! Praise the Lord!
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. - John 12:32.
Indeed, Jesus Christ alone is the most attractive and awesome.
We thank God for the blessing of co-laboring with Steve, who shared with us many new perspectives in witnessing. Do remember Steve and Lish in prayer as they serve our Risen Lord and Savior in Vietnam
We miss you Steve!!!
-Jess
