St E report 09.27.07

“And they that know thy name who put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”~ Psalm 9:10

Praise the Lord for His wonderful Word of encouragement, that He will never forsake His children. Praise the Lord for His wonderful presence this very night, and praise Him for bringing a soul into His arms!

Praise the Lord for God using different groups of people to minister to people of different needs! Led by His Spirit, Jessie and Cheryl spoke to two youths who were waiting for their friends. It has been a wonderful time of sharing as we witness their openness in hearing what Christ had done for us on the cross! Thank the Lord for using Cheryl to even encourage the hearts of the group of Christians doing His work for the furtherance of His kingdom!

A group of young ladies were inviting people to their upcoming evangelistic event while Cheryl and Jessie were witnessing to a group of youths. Both parties were duly encouraged and thank God for the opportunity to fellowship with them during our St E wrap up. We’re so encouraged to know the Lord is using Christians from different churches to reach out to their peers. Thank God for wonderful time of sharing and blessed coincidence of meeting people of same faith and similar passion in reaching the lost!

After that, the Lord led our two sisters to three guys sitting on the street along the MRT station. The Lord is gracious, long suffering and not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance. Praise the Lord for His love for us, and thank the Lord for His patience. It was quite disheartening initially to see the responses of these three guys, but there after a short chat with them, the Lord opened the heart of one of the guy to read the tract and there after God opened the door to allow the gospel to be brought forth! It has been a great encouragement to us as we witness the power of His Word and His Spirit!

A guy sitting at the curb near the bus stop was someone the Lord had in mind. He was so willing to hear His Word and praise the Lord for opportunity given to share with this guy from NUS what it takes to be called a Christian. Thank the Lord for all opportunities He had given us, everyone He put along our path to be a blessing to them! Indeed, he that watereth shall be watered also himself. Our hearts are being watered, by God alone.

“Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example for the believer in word and in conduct.” Indeed, Lester has been a great example and encouragement to us as he joined us despite his impending “O” levels to share God’s love to people along the streets of Singapore, going back with his heart lifted up and encouraged.

Thank the Lord for bringing Malcolm and Rogan together in being part of God’s wonderful work this night. Praise the Lord for a soul added into His kingdom! It has been a divine appointment for Alex, as He places his trust and dependence on Jesus Christ this very night! Praise the Lord for working in hearts of men! The couple were sitting alone when Rogan and Malcolm approached them and shared with them the most wonderful love story ever told! The amazing Gospel was brought forth to them in simplicity and through the power of His Spirit; Alex was led into the kingdom of God! Heaven rejoices, and the hearts of ours was so lifted up to Christ, encouraged by what we seen! Thank the Lord for using Rogan’s simple word of personal testimony so simply, yet powerful. Praise the Lord.
