St E report 05.17.07

Praise God for a fruitful night with divine appointments from our dearest Lord and Savior. It is amazing how He crossed our paths with strangers on the streets at the perfect timing that no man can say it is his or her work, but only the work of the Spirit of God! He is indeed very real!

Thank God for allowing us to go to the streets of Plaza Singapura to meet different groups of people who needed Jesus Christ. Bridges built are so precious and although no profession of faith is being made on this night, it has been very encouraging to be able to people who expressed their interest in visiting a church, and was open to visiting our church. It is amazing how contacts are being exchanged, and three guys whom Malcolm and Cheryl met contacted them to meet up the next day to attend our youth worship! It is amazing how God raised people up, and how he planned everything beautifully, so that His precious name is glorified!

Praise God for opportunity to talk to a particular lady who claimed to be a Christian and serving faithfully in her church. It is even more mind blowing to be able to assure her of her salvation and to see that sweet smile of hers thereafter, knowing that God has done a deep work of assuring of her salvation, that she may be more effective in serving our loving God after being secured in Him.

It is a beautiful time to talk to people of different faiths and lifting up Jesus Christ, seeing that surprised look on people, yet at the same time knowing that seeds sowed will not be returned void. Thank God for being able to meet two girls, who claimed that she is thinking of going to church, and bridges were built and prayerfully, the two girls will come and visit us in time to come, most importantly, having that personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Let us continue to pray for more divine appointments, and be encouraged to know that God is always in the business of saving souls.

Praise God for an amazing night, for He had done deep work in the hearts of people on the streets, even in the hearts of those who went out to share His beautiful love story of Jesus Christ. May this verse be an encouragement to all, “Be not weary in well-doing, for in due season you shall reap, if you faint not.” – Galatians 6:9

Thank God for a wonderful time of building bridges and meeting needs last Thursday.

There were 5 of us out on the street. I’d noticed the 3 guys before we started our evangelistic endeavor proper.

After opening in prayer, Cheryl and myself were paired up and we made a beeline for the 3 guys. We understand they have visited churches in the past but didn’t seem keen to listen to the Gospel. We just chatted and exchanged numbers. The invitation to our Youth worship was extended and we went our separate ways.

Guess what? A half hour later, I got a text message from one of the guys and he would like to visit us the next day, which is our Youth worship. He asked if he could invite his friends. I mean “Woah”!!!! Of course you can invite your friends. Matter of fact, please invite them all was my reply.

To say I’m excited was an understatement.

Last Friday, Cheryl and myself met them at Newton MRT and we hung out at church.

The 3 guys we’d met on Thursday evening brought another friend and after our service, they asked another friend to come join us at church. Praise the Lord!!!!

Although the Gospel has yet to be shared and salvation checked with all these guys. We thank God they’re open to listening to God’s Word and hanging out with Christians at a church.

Please remember to keep these 5 guys in prayer.
