St E report 05.29.08

Praise the Lord for an amazingly fruitful evening of sowing and reaping. Praise the Lord for 3 professions of faith!!! Praise the Lord for Abigail, Catherine, Daphne, Teresa, Rogan, Lester, Ray and Malcolm who took steps of faith tonight to share the Gospel with the people out on the streets.

The school holiday is officially upon us and there were lot of teenagers out on the streets and our teenage soul winners made a beeline for their peers. Lester and Teresa reassured the salvation of a Filipino sister who’s looking for a church to worship. Thank God for them being a blessing to a fellow sis-in-Christ who just arrived in Singapore 5 months ago.

One of our teenage soul winners noted it’s so sad to learn of people who don’t see the to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior Thank God for her compassion for the lost and her faithful labor.

One of the teenage girls whom we approached with the Gospel shared she’s afraid of the pain of dying but she doesn’t realize the torment of hell is much, much worse than any physical pain known to man. Oh Lord, may You quicken Your Spirit in the hearts of those who has yet to know You.

Catherine and Rogan approached a big group of teenagers sitting along the MRT station and proceeded to share the Gospel with them. Thank God they didn’t lose focus despite the many distractions along the streets and even among the teens they’re ministering to. At the end of their witnessing, 2 teenagers, P and A, humbly bowed their heads and received Christ as their Lord and Savior!!! The heavens rejoice!!!

It’s so wonderful and encouraging to see our teens reaching out and touching the lives of their peers. Please continue to pray for all who’d made decisions for our Lord. May we have the wisdom and grace to follow up with them or alternatively, may they be led and directed to a church where they can grow in love and faith for our Lord.

Abigail and Daphne witnessed to a 20-year-old Myanmar lady. Thank God for her proficiency in the English language. His Holy Spirit convicted her heart of her sinful nature and after some encouragement from Abigail, N asked the Lord to forgive her of her sins and received Him as her personal Lord and Savior!!!

This has been a fruitful month with professions of faith every week. May the Lord continue to raise up laborers for the fields are indeed “white already to harvest”.

Rei and Malcolm approached several groups of people and thank God for softening the hearts of their listeners. Two groups of people appeared reticent and disinterested upon initial contact but after a couple of minutes of sharing and a personal testimony from one of our soul winners, they warmed up and the Gospel was clearly presented. Although no decision was made, we thank God for the blessing and privilege to be His witness. May His Spirit do the work that no man can do, to convict sinners of sin and to draw them to His throne of grace.
Please continue to pray for our young but faithful soul winners. Most of them will be taking some form of tests or exams next week. Please also continue to pray for committed soul winners to join the team every Thursday.

Thank God for the faithful labor and sacrifice of our adult soul winners. May they continue to be fueled by His compassion for the lost.

Thank God for a wonderful night of sowing and reaping His Gospel seeds. To God be the glory!!!
