St E report 02.15.07
The team always starts with a word of prayer before going out to the streets to share His love, with nothing to offer except his Love and offer of forgiveness. Thank God for a fruitful time of tracting, building bridges and the admission of two individuals into His kingdom! Praise the Lord.God is faithful. He directed two teenagers to someone with a ready heart. A lady of a different faith placed her faith and trust in Jesus, with joy in her heart to express her gratitude, she give an affectionate hug to the one who brought forth the gospel to her. It was both encouraging and heart warming. Pray for this lady who’d accepted Christ to be able to come to church, to grow in His grace. R, an Indian national agreed to fellowship with us at church on Sundays. Please pray for open doors and that he will really come as promised, and grow in the Lord as he put his faith and trust in Jesus as well! It is an amazing evening.
Thank God for the divine appointment with another individual of a different faith, who was passing time while waiting to attend his religious lesson, when an adult and a teenager crossed paths with him to share with him about Jesus Christ. It was a blessed hour of sharing, as bridges are built, gospel shared, and appointment to meet up again to chit chat is made possible. Let us pray for our brother as he burdened and concerned to meet up with this distant “cousin” of ours again. Thank God for His love.
Rejections and people mocking Jesus do affect those who share his Word. With young people scorning at the love of God, it brings us closer to the Cross and reminds us to pray earnestly for the souls, and for us to draw our strength from God and not on our abilities, eloquence or experiences. With prayers, His Word as our sword and the encouragement of fellow brothers and sisters, hearts are being lifted up and focus is being turned to Jesus Christ. Indeed, love never fails.
Thank God for the opportunity again to share his love to many people on the streets, not just anyone, but those whom the Lord led us to and whose hearts are ready to accept the tracts, to hear His Word and respond to His Love.
Praise God forever for Love never fails.
-Jess
